: Sex from Woman's Perspective through the Analysis of Korean Drama "Fanta G Spot" and Reflection on the Theology of the Body

This article explores women’s sexuality and embodied experience within structures of domination that have contributed to women’s alienation from their own bodies and sexuality. Such domination often renders women’s sexual experiences inauthentic, positioning sexual activity primarily toward the satisfaction of their partners. Alongside patriarchal control, religious distortions of sexuality have further restricted women’s sexual expression by framing sexuality within moral surveillance and guilt. Employing a qualitative approach and textual analysis within the framework of theology and popular culture, this study begins with a critical examination of religious distortions of sexuality through the thought of Darrel Ray, followed by a constructive theological reconstruction grounded in the theology of the body articulated by Lisa Isherwood and Elizabeth Stuart. This framework is then applied to the Korean drama Fanta G-Spot as an alternative space for theological reflection that represents women’s embodied and sexual experiences. The analysis is subsequently brought into dialogue with a reading of Kidung Agung 5:2–8. This study proposes Fanta G-Spot as a locus of theological reflection that enables a reconstruction of women’s sexuality and embodiment as sites of faith and human experience, affirming sexuality as something to be embraced positively, relationally, and free from structures of domination.
