About the Journal

SOPHIA: Indonesian Journal of Feminist Studies is an academic journal focusing on the development of feminist studies in the contexts of theology, religion, and Indonesian society. The journal is published by PERUATI (Perkumpulan Perempuan Alumni Pendidikan Teologi di Indonesia). SOPHIA specifically promotes dialogue between feminism and disciplines including theology, religious studies, the humanities, and the social sciences. This orientation affirms the journal’s commitment to an interdisciplinary approach in all of its publications.

This journal is published regularly twice a year, around June and December.
